The Good Thief has dramatic daring...The writing is tense, lucid and admirably dispassionate.” - The Irish Times.

THE GOOD THIEF is a story wherein a ruffian reveals the remorse and regret he feels after a botched job leads to murder, kidnapping, and finally a desperate flee that results in unfortunate casualties and imprisonment.

Playwright Conor McPherson is the 1999 Oliver Award Winner for his play The Weir. In 1997, he was awarded the Evening Standard Award for Outstanding New Playwright and the London Critics Circle Award for Most Promising Playwright. He has Tony nominations for Best Play for his plays, Shining City and The Seafarer.

The Good Thief is produced with special arrangement by Dramatists Play Service Inc.

All performances will take place in MTC’s home in the West Houston Community Center, located at 725 Bateswood, Houston, TX  77079 (MAP).
